I use my iPod nano when i run. Got an idea to see if i could find a spot on the Feej to mount it. I use one of those arm bands with the velcro closure. This particular arm band made by samsonite and sold at wally world fits nicely around the brake fluid resevoir. I don't use a tank bag so this allows me to turn the iPod on and off and adjust the volume and change songs with out having to do it blindly while having the iPod in my jacket. Thought i would share this and it may have already been brought up but I did not see when I did the search. My garmin 2720 does not have the MP3 option so i will use the iPod until I decide to upgrade, may not need to now.

Are you guys using the standard headsets, or something more sophisticated with noise cancelling?

Wondering if there's a bluetooth, noise-cancelling set of plugs or cups that will fit into my Shoei Multi-tec.

I've been using the iJet with my Nano for about a year now. I added a 12 volt outlet under the seat to plug in the auto charger so I don't have to worry about running the battery down. I've found that if you leave the Nano in the iJet even if its powered down, the iJet still tend to bleed off some battery juice. I also called the folks at ABT, the folks that make the iJet, asking about the motorcycle remote. They told me I can order a seperate remote that's shock and water resistant and can be mounted to the handlebars for greater convience. That remote also has larger buttons for easier use while wearing gloves. I haven't done that yet, but I am considering it.

For earphones, I got a set of JVC's that fir in the ear and do a great job of canceling out wind noise while still allowing sound from horns, sirens in and I can still hear my music with no problem.

I plugged my Nano into an iJet. I keep it in my pocket and velcroed the remote to the clutch reservoir. It lets me get on and off the bike without unplugging and I don't have wires running all over.

So Johnny, you have wires going from the ijet in your pocket to either helmet speakers or earbuds, but you can control the nano with the wireless remote, correct?

I do not have a radio on my bike so maybe this will work for me.

My nano was great until it jumped off the velcro and hit the highway at 65 mph.

Thanks

Danno

Edit: unless wnyone knows of a different wireless remote for an ipod

I couldn't fit Apple's (crappy) ear buds in my helmet and still get my head in there too.

I use earphones from Etymotic.com.

I have custom molded earphones and they work great. If the iPod dies they work as earplugs too.

Yes Danno I have a wire that runs from my earphones to the nano which is tucked into the inside pocket of my jacket.

Once I get my Autocom installed I will have the iPod permantly mounted with a charger like Bandit does.

That way when I get on the bike I plug in the Autocom and I have the cell, iPod and GMRS radio ready to go. Going to put the cell up in the glovebox so I can easily grab it when I get off the bike or charge it while I am riding from the ciggy port.
