When i went to CFR recently and about day 3 of heavy rain my check engine light came and I rode for 20-30 min until I got to civilization somewhere and pulled over and stopped. Restarted the bike and the light went away never to be seen again. I meant to check it but forgot until now. The diag code is code 12

12 No normal signals are received

from the crankshaft position sensor.

Unable (to start) Unable (to drive)

hmmm? It started and drove but what are the long terms implication of this code 12?

If you want to be anal about it, you may want to go through the bike and check all of the electrical connectors to make sure they are clean. If you find one that is loose or corroded, clean it up and put in a dab of dielectric grease to keep moisture out. Don't forget the grounds.
