The site Rides of Santa Barbara County is also very good, with descriptions, maps, pics and videos of rides in and around Santa Barbara, on the ocean 90 miles west of Los Angeles.

I've been haunting some of the same roads as you lately. I'm going to try to hit Palomar this weekend. I enjoy the view more than draggin my knees, but I hear the top is spectacular. If you look at the site, it's a nice ride down 79 to 76, past Lake Henshaw, up the hill. Then I'll ride up to Fallbrook, hit Sandia Canyon rd, to take the long way back up to Temecula. See you out there somewhere.
