Hi y'all,
Been silent for a while and it will likely continue for a some more, standing up your own shop is quite a road ahead, but fun after all. If all goes to plan, I will have grand opening on June 1, than Clean 'n Chrome will be in operation and see if a few bikes or cages wants a detail or two. The Cherry on the whip cream was, that I got a hold of my first show case car for my shop. A 1976 Ford Torino, with a 460 big block build by Edelbrock, C6 tranny and 9" rear..... turned in to a Starsky and Hutch tribute car.....
Here yer have it:
I bought it from a collector in Baltimore, flew over and drove it 700 miles West to my sons house in Chicago, for temp storage, until my shop is good to go to take on a nice car..... She drives awesome, that big block is just fascinating, after entering the PA Turn Pike I had for about 400 miles toll roads ahead and so had to briefly stop to pay up my dues on them toll plaza's. I guess the attendants didn't like what I would do, that giddy up and go is just brutal and put the biggest smile on my face....
The run took me about 11 hours and was truly fun.
So soon I will have my own shop and I'm a very happy camper, last thing on the list is getting two lifts each for them cages and ATV/Trikes/Bikes to have the proper equipment....
So anyways, I'm still alive, likely to serve some BS to folks and try to survive the maze of business registry and its zillions of forms....
