Still more Rick Martin's FJR maintenance.... not sure what is being looked at here; tire change? Or possibly the centerstand?

Do I see that correctly in that list? #18 riding a Victory Vision?? I thought it wasn't out yet - is this a factory plant?

Not really.... Andy Mills is an engineer who works for Victory, so he has access to a early production bike. But there is no factory support or anything of the like. There was already 23K on the bike when he pulled up for Test Inspection.

Similarly, Chris Cimino is riding a GTR1400 that is a "press bike", and it goes back to Kawasaki at the end of the event. But there is no factory support there, either.... if something goes wrong with either bike, there is no chase van or anything like that.... these guys fix it (by themselves or via a local dealer, etc), or they don't.

Is the Victory Vision as futuristically ugly in person as it is in the photos? It reminds me of a car body dropped on a chassis more than a motorcycle.

Its umm... something to behold. The bike is LONG! From the front it somewhat reminds you of a WW II era bomber. Very different styling on this bike.

Think it looks better in person, but your name still needs to be George Jetson to own one, and it does have a large presents

LOL

Do they know their press bike is being run in the IBR...??

(Or was that overlooked in the "press bike" agreement?)

Hers a few photos I was able to get while we worked on bikes.

Raining as riders are coming in we had just had major storms and rain.

FJR Support station ready to GO!!!

And this little splice connector almost took Doug C out of the Rally. He used it to get signal to relay for all of his electronics. It was not working so we traced it down and Smitty having a soldering gun with him took care of it.

IBRCheckpoint007.jpg

And this nice shot of Iggy 9 Matt Watkins) Just after Scoring.
