On may the 4th, my buddy Turnsleft and I headed down to Oregon to ride

trails at the East Fort Rock OHV trail system. this area is 22 miles east

of Bend and 7 miles off Hwy 20. 318 miles are available in 110,000 acres,

ranging from 4,400 to 6,400 feet elevation.

the camp ground was empty when we arrived

the trails were groomed, rocky and extended whoop's

maps are available at the camp ground info station

you need them

turnsleft is the expert, I ate the dust until he got way ahead

a nice guy he waited at the intersections, figuring out where we were, while I caught up

these berms are built up by 4 wheelers and bikes, they can throw the best rider

other riders showed, and we BS'd around the fire

a great trail lead up to and down from this big view to the southwest

manzanita made this section seem like a garden

basalt is through out the system

trail markers are at all intersection's

our last day turned cool

no problem really, it keeps the dust down

a real tree hugger

back to camp the sun breaks out

then this again

time to hit the road

We had a great time, covered 174 miles of trail and I learned a lot!

Right out my back door. They do a good job on the OHV trails around central Oregan.

Great pics, looks like a real nice area to ride and no dust is a good thing. May be another month before we can ride up into the forest with all the snow pack in these parts.

Looks like a great place to ride.

Will have to go there some time.

We usually go to the Pauite Trail in Utah.

This looks like fun and someplace different.

I also have a brother that lives in Bend.

Kill two birds with one stone.

Joe
