Hi folks,

As I ride an FJR I never have chrome problems with my bike but my truck is another matter. I have a 10 year old Dodge Ram 1500 that I bought just because I wanted a truck. My wife says it is a "guy thing".

Any way the bumper has the chrome bubbling off and is rusting in places. I don't actually want to re-chrome the bumper on an old truck but I would like it to look less ratty. Any suggestions?

Thanks

gypsy

Check with some small body-shops. They have sources for after-market bumpers that aren't that expensive.

Or, call some salvage yards.

Move into a neighborhood like this one and then your peeling chrome will go virtually unnoticed.

Hey there is something wrong with that picture....that car is in a 'No Parking' zone. This must be photoshopped!! :)

Chrome is a problem wherever it exists!

Powder coat (stainless match), go stainless or polished aluminum (or even better, titanium), or go home! But chrome won't get you there (home, that is).
