Ok, I was worried that everyone was bored with the planning post. Now were looking for a few more folks to join in. So far it's just me and my neighbor on his Gold Wing. Our lodging is booked and we're ready to go. I'd be happy to answer more questions here. Once you're sure you are coming, send me a message and we'll exchage cell phone numbers and maybe plan a pre-trip get together or short ride around the TC. Non-Twin Citians could certainly join us for segments. I'm hoping my buddy from Milwaukee will join on his ST3. I could ride behind a Ducati all day long just to enjoy the exhaust note.

7/11 - Twin Citites to Thunder Bay, ON (313 miles from Forest Lake) - Best Western Crossroads Motor Inn

7/12 - Thunder Bay to Montreal River Harbour, ON (368 miles) - Twilight Resort (Cabins that sleep 4)

7/13 - Montreal River Harbour to Houghton, MI (339 miles) - Best Western Franklin Square Inn

7/14 - Houghton to Twin Cities (339 miles to Forest Lake)

You're two weeks ahead of me. Have fun, and ride safe.
Too bad we couldn't wait. The dates we chose were the only ones that worked out between the neighbor and I. Would have been fun to run with the new Vision too. I'd love to see people's reactions. I was one of the few who didn't immediately hate it, but then someone ruined it for me by showing me how to see a clown's face in the front end. Now I can't look at one from the front without seeing bozo the clown.

Hope you have a great ride when you get back up north.

Too funny! I'll pass that on to my buddy, so it can make it back to the marketing folks!

I have made this trip and it is great.
Take some warm gear! Yeah, I know....It's JULY !!!

Take some warm gear!
Great advice. Even those of us from "up here" have a collection of clothes purchased on the North Shore while freezing our a**es off during vacation. I'm told Superior never gets much above 38 degrees, and it's a pretty big heat sink.

Tom,
I would of loved to join you but I can't get away from work...

Gotta work to pay for farkles. And I've seen your extended farkle post, you've got a lot of work to do.

Seriously, your bike (and your brothers) look awesome. I never liked the two tone FJR's, but the stripes work really well on both the blue and burgundy to bring it all together. Nice work on the WW cut for the saddlebag stripes. So pleased you're willing to share.

Look forward to catching you on a ride sometime. We'll also take some pictures of Superior and post them as a ride report (once I figure out how to post a photo).

I will look for ya as I blow by doing it in 24 hours.

That is the plan anyway. I ride a 05 FJR and have a grey with HiViz Stitch. I will be with a gentleman on an Intruder with a fuel cell.

We leave Saturday morning from Superior WI and ride clockwise around the Lake.

Hope to see ya along the way....

Dana

We'll look for you in Ontario on our day 2. I've got a black 08, my friend's Gold Wing is silver.
