Had a great time at this year's GOTC in Sonora... left early Saturday morning and jetted up to see who was still around... some folks had already boogied for the day but there were a few folks around... I queried on the direction that folks were going in and decided to tag along with MadMike and head into Yosemite for a little picture taking...

But first, we had to tackle Hwy 49 to Mariposa...

Then 140 into the park...

Just missed MM between the rocks...

Yosemite is a place that makes one feel very small amidst its towering formations...

And I love the one-way section through the cool, shaded, tree-lined roadway...

We didn't stop a lot until we got to the Tunnel View where we parked, de-geared, and strolled about with our cameras... it was a gorgeous day!

Caught lying down on the job...

And then we headed back out of the park and over 120 to head back to the hotel and find out what dinner plans were...

Over the river and through the tunnel, to Sir Richard's GOTC we go...

Groovy curves...

And good to see that Mother Nature is working hard to restore the beauty from last summer's devastating fire... I rode through here last October and there was no green to be seen at all...

We made it back and wandered about the parking lot saying hi to folks as they pulled in from whatever their day's adventures had been...

There wasn't any real plan for dinner so a group of us decided to check out a place right across the street from the hotel called Emberz... pretty good food and the company was decent too although Doug and OM seemed to be getting pretty friendly...

And then back to the parking lot for more gabbing and telling tall tales...

And figuring out someone had gotten a hold of my camera...

Folks were heading out early so we all hit the sack... I didn't sleep well that night so took it easy the next morning, shared breakfast with friends, and then decided on a mostly direct route back home as I wasn't feeling up to the very technical route I had originally planned... but once on 205, I had enough of the slab madness and decided to take one of my favorite routes to avoid it... Patterson Pass Rd... MUCH better!!

Made it home without incident and fairly early so was able to catch up on some home stuff... thanks again to Sir Richard for putting the plan together and getting us all in one place at one time... it was so great seeing some friends that I haven't seen a long time and meeting a few new ones to boot! B)

Outstanding photos and reporting Tyler. Do I see a little Pashnit inspired roads photography going on there?

You even put it in the correct forum category... over achiever.
