Getting to ride with MadMike: AWESOME.

Great pics and above average RR as usual.

Just one suggestion. If you would bring along a short step stool, or perhaps get on MadMike's shoulders, you could avoid a lot of those shots where flowering shrubs and plants obscure the scenery.

Loved the different pics of the valley using your phone vs. camera. Interesting that when put on MadMike mode, the colors in the background got washed out while the details of his beard got accentuated. Just a casual observation from a guy who mostly takes pics of trees and rocks. JSNS.

Sometimes we like those flowering shrubs and plants...

And MadMike mode takes on a life all its own when you point a camera at him! :lol:

One of my favorite quick up and over roads - Patterson Pass road.

Just don't try running it during the weekday afternoons - especially westbound, the eastbound commute traffic is in Kamikaze mode through there. The people heading home from the livermore valley travel it everyday and know every bump and turn on that road. The pace is quite elevated - almost freeway speed.

I had heard that as well so avoid it during weekdays/rush hour... on a Sunday afternoon it was completely empty except for a couple of bicycles... my kinda urban sprawl!
