Kinda like trying to find a flashlight in the dark. You need a flashlight ot find it.

Unless you have your cell phone with you.

They make some really cool flashlight apps that have saved my bacon a few times now.
But on the original topic: I've used knives, but that can be risky to fingers. Regular scissor work, but you can't beat those heavy duty kitchen type scissors. And back off topic: those heavy duty scissors also work great for clipping wings off quail or chukar when performing cleaning duties at the end of a day in the field with the dog.

To Harald's point, I would pay $4.99 for an iPhone app that would open sealed plastic tool packages. I use my phone for everything else, why nit that ?
