Clearwater Lights install instructions?

Just to note, if you find that the leads from the "black box" to the lights are just a bit short for that special location on your install, for a nominal price, Clearwater Lights can make you a custom pigtail extension with the proper ends on it to make it work. They made me a special 10 inch one for one of my Kristas.

They are willing to work with you to make your custom install just right. Good people there!

...as Clearwater also has a complementary Krista/Erica Hybrid option, you get one of each for the pair of Kristas.

If I was buying today, I would absolutely get the Krista/Erica hybrid option due to the narrow beam pattern of the newer Kristas.

Let's have a report about how you liked them, the first dark road you fired them up on.

Well I've had the opportunity to use these lights for 2 rallys that required riding through the night, and I gotta say, they are pretty nice indeed. And having the ability to use the lights at a dimmed level when only using the low beams is a huge plus. Negates the need to having to have a second set of lights.

The first rally I did I had to ride through some rain to get there, and when I walked around to the front of the bike, sure enough that one light was full of condensation. Aggravation begin to seep in. However I took care of that problem in short order by going to a local auto parts store and purchasing a small tube of brake grease. Not being sure how hot those light got I wanted a grease that would hold up to heat and not get all runny. Haven't had any condensation since.

What part of the light did you seal with the grease? Where the wire enters the case or ?????

I applied the grease to both the threads as well as a small bead behind the glass. I could tell I wouldn't need to worry about where the wires enter in the back when I began to screw the bezel on. As I screwed it back on it became a little more difficult as the air trapped inside was being compressed.

If you still get a little condensation afterwards, don't worry it didn't work. I got a little bit after I did mine so I just took it off and wiped it away, but haven't gotten it since. There may still have been moisture inside. Not having access to a hair dryer at the rally HQs, I took the chance of riding a few miles without the lens cover on in an attempt to dry it out. Needless to say, i avoided following vehicles on gravel roads. lol

Good to hear your success story. I've been enjoying my set-up for over 7 years now. I'd upgrade to the newer brighter lights Clearwater offers, however I can't cost justify it because the system I have works so well.
