SOLD OUT !!!

Thanks Everyone !!

Now I just gotta get them all shipped out.

Hey everyone !

I managed to bump into a source for many many sets of Closed foam grip covers - kinda like Grip Puppies. I can't say that they're Grip Puppies cause I didn't get them from Grip Puppies. But they have the same closed cell foam, the inside is finished, the ends are gently beveled.

These are the correct size for the FJR - I installed a set on my 06 yesterday, (after removing the old set) and they fit correctly.

I'll sell these to forum members for $7.00 a set - which includes postage to the lower 48 - Alaska and Hawaii we can talk.

I'll gladly ship to other countries as well - will have to research the mailing costs.

Once they're gone, they're gone. I'll be listing them on fleabay at a higher price once the forum members have their fill.

Send me a PM if you want some.

I haven't tried this brand (or grip puppies) but I'm guessing I'd go thru 2 pairs a year or so... I was thinking of buying 4 or 5 pairs

Not to sound dumb... but.. what kind of hairspray worked sucessfully for you?

(I have a wife and 2 daughters... there are a LOT of different ones....)

OK - my favored install method - and this is over ST1300 heated grips - is the following:

1. soak the new cover in hot soapy water for a few minutes.

2. remove the bar end iffin it's a biggie.

3. start sliding the cover onto the grip.

4. using a compressed air source, pump air into the leading edge as you push/pat/twist the cover onto the grip. The compressed air will temporarily inflate the cover, allowing it to easily slide onto the grip.

Hairspray also works as a lube, just soak the grip and the inside of the cover - and work at it.

good... cause using my air compressor does not draw attention to the fact that I just bought yet ANOTHER bit for the Feejer... it is a normal behaviour.

No doubt, asking for hairspray, would get me busted FOR SURE !!

My first set lasted a couple of years. Riding in the rain for several hrs after a couple of years of use did them in. I still have the throttle side on. Most likely will replace the left side for now and keep an extra as a spair. You can't beat this price anywhere. If your on the fence I would buy a set.
