Clutch lever problem...defective design?

Thanks again. Just lubed mine with some white lithium grease. It was dry and scratchy, but not worn.

Yes, that thread definitely sums it up. It's good to re-hash this stuff every year or so though, as some unsuspecting FJR owner will see this and take action. My lever will be in Thursday! :yahoo: ...so for now, its the suzuki GSX650F or the FZ1 hauling my (_!_) around!

^^^ SouthernCruizer - The design though is sound. It's better the little $3.41 brass gazinta dies rather than your clutch lever.

Speaking of design defects....after riding my FJR hard for a half hour or so, if I stick my hand on the header or exhaust pipe, I get a severe burn. That's shouldn't happen, should it??

No it shouldn't. You probably screwed something up when you were working on the motor after it grenaded itself.

From what I can gather, Bust has had his Willy in so many disgusting, strange, and dangerous places that his Willy has become immune to something as mundane as a simple burn from hot exhaust pipes. I bet he has to warm that pipe up good to even get a warm fuzzy feeling.
