I just finished my clutch soak and all went well.... until I put the bike together again.... not the clutch won't pull in. The clutch handle feels like a brake handle. Back apart again and I don't see anything wrong.

appears that the clutch is stuck disengaged

Ideas?

***** ALERT - here is what I did- It is possible to get the pressure plate installed and tightened and NOT be centered on the clutch push rod. This keeps the pressure plate extended and prevents the clutch lever from pulling in (because the pressure plate is already extended. Fortunately no damage was done and all is well now.

Certainly one of those cases where taking the time to post on the forum gives your mind some time to relax and reset, then the problem seems more obvious on a second look.

***** Alert ... I have at least one of those every time I work on something!
