Cobra 7200 GMRS/FRS radio issue

Hi:

Hooked up the Starcom to my new Cobra radio and I get a steady thumping sound when the radio goes into "power saver" mode.

So, how do I disable "power saver" mode?

Also have a Zumo 550 plugged in and I'm using Etymotic earphones.

Help!
