Cold engine stall

Either my google-fu is failing me, or this hasn't come up in a while...

On one of my FJRs, just took it in for a scheduled maintenance. When we got it back, if the engine is cold, and I give it any gas, the engine will sputter out and die. Didn't notice this before the maintenance was done (although, I've had it less than a week), and as such, it's back at the dealer now for them to take a look at it.

Just wondering if anyone has come across this before so I can give my (sometimes incompetent) dealer some hints.

Hot idle should be 1100 rpm and cold is something above that.....is it?

Can't recall what the tach registers, but on the checklist/form they give me, it says they set it at 1100 (I assume that's at warm idle, but maybe that's where they messed up).

Also, once the engine comes up to temp, there's no problems with the engine staying running.

Warm idle is just cold idle plus some, not really adjustable. Unless you wanna dig deep and take some stuff apart. Seems like Howie showed us how once. Anyway, if warm idle is low, so will cold idle be.

Also, Gen-II bikes don't bump the cold idle as much as Gen-I bikes did, probably to accomodate the AE, which will engage the clutch if the engine reaches a certain RPM. ot good if you're expecting to sit at idle . . . . . So if your 2007 idles too low when warm, it'll idle WAY too low when cold.

A friend of mine has an 07 if you start it cold and touch the throttle it will die like you turned off the switch.....if you let it run a few seconds it will do fine.
