Hey all,

Needless to say... Spring is here! I am getting stir crazy looking at my "rolling chassis" sitting in the garage...

My painted parts are going to be done this Fri!! :good:

Just got an email from my very skilled painter.... He specializes in custom painted bikes. They looking good!!

He sprayed both sides of everything, so it doesn't look like it was ever painted.

Going to be glad to get her put back together again.

Then I will still have to put on the silver stripe kit (again), my new tank protector, and of course, the raised chrome 09 FJR1300 emblems...

Yeehaa!!!

i've only washed it twice since last august.

Update,

Got her done and all snapped back together.

Just waiting to put on my silver stripe kit and 09 emblems.

Hopefully, I will be able to get to it tomorrow.

Kinda of a crappy pic, but you get the idea. I will post better pics later.

It is the 08/09 Black Raven Paint code (Yes, there is a ppg code for this color)

along with three coats of clear. Including my Givi E52 and my Axio Smuggler.

Also, my painter sprayed both sides of all the pieces, inlcuding the

underside of the gas tank. I am very satisfied with all of his work.

Sorry my deal was not just a strict money deal. I know that Garauld (HERE ON THE FORUM) was going to paint her up

for around $600- $700 but shipping was going to run me another $400 (lots of big parts). If you look around, most

painters will want a lot more. Maybe $1500+ on up. You usually get what you pay for with regards to paint work.
