Im in the market of communication system for wefi and me.Were going to ride to Vagas 2000 mile ride. wondering what evryone use. :yahoo:

thanks all :p

Starcom here. Besides Jeff at Sportbikeeffects.com being a regular contributor here and numerous other places on the forum, wonderful at support, and an FJR rider he's also a forum sponsor helping us pay for half of the recent forum software upgrade.

I'm one of those that went from nothingness that didn't think one could do helmet speakers and the foam earplugs to one that has radar detector, cell phone, GPS (with MP3 player), and even a CB or other radio installed.

Autocom's a good product too certainly, but given our personal in with Jeff on this forum....I would give him a call and talk.

+1 on starcom. Love it. More importantly, my pillions love it.

I recently got the Starcomm from Jeff at Sportbikeeffects, and we love it, we have a Roady XT, MP3 player, Valentine 1, and cell phone hooked to it, we just came back from a 2000 + mile ride to Colorado, and it performed flawlessly, a world of difference to the junk HJC system we had before!

STARCOM OR AUTOCOM?? :dribble:

Never had a comm system before, but I recently bought the StarComm from sportbikeeffects. It seemed the most highly recommended around here.

Check out the StarCom website, they're not cheap, but its quality gear & works great.

I just purchased the Collett Platinum 900 Sport Touring Package.....$219.00 plus s/h.

I used it quite a bit this weekend and love it.

The battery is still going good for 3 days without a charge

Here is there website if your interested.

Keith at Tulsa truck center discounts all autocom products. I just bought my second unit from him for my cruiser, the Active plus for $213, regularly $299. Not bad for the simple unit. I have the Pro 7 for the FJR. He has all the adapters and sell custom molded ear speakers with the lead to hook into them instead of the in helmet speakers. Someone will post his info. He has an FJR and rides all over.

+ another for Autocom - and +1 to buy from Keith Goudelock at Tulsa Truck Center - he will work with you if you have any after sale problems - VERY IMPORTANT to me...
