AutoCom Active 7 from Keith. Lorie and I are happy with it. SHe has the speakers installed and I use the ER6i earwhatevers. Gotta say, I'm gonna go with installing the speakers cause it's a pain in the butt to be fiddeling around with the earplugs - great sound, but just another wire to connect, etc. A caution - whatever you think you'll spend, count on spending more!

I can personally vouch for Kieth. I know him well. I've been a guest in his house.

He's a great guy and knows what he's talking about. He gives great deals on Autocom and anyother equipment you might need.

If you're looking for a self-contained, battery powered system that can be used from bike to bike with no modifications to the bike whatsoever, take a look at the Collett Platinum 900 system. My son and I have them and love 'em. They mount to the helmets and can easily be moved from helmet to helmet. We use them on our street bike helmets and move them to our dirtbike helmets when we go dirt motorcycle riding. We're even thinking about using them on our ski helmets when we go skiing this winter. We also have the passenger intercom setups, and they work great also. The systems will accept cellphone connections and music players, like iPods. The sound clarity is excellent, we've had good range of up to 2-3 miles apart, and the voice actuated technology works superbly, with virtually no delay or words lost before activation occurs. A fully charged battery pak will last up to 2 full days of constant usage. Check out the link below for more info.

If you don't care about portability of the system, then there are a number of other excellent choices, such as those already mentioned above.

I have the Collett's too, and have been very pleased, both bike to bike, and intercom modes. When the bike goes into winter storage, they go on our snowmobile helmets!
