...but I also don't remember anything on the FJR that could get somebody killed or seriously injured. The FJR has no historical equivalent of "100% affected".
The FJR has had several recalls that affected all bikes in a production run, including the TPS recall which was done for safety reasons. Almost all recalls are safety related.

All motorcycles have recalls, more when they're new or heavily re-designed. No matter how much testing you do, any vehicle put out to the general public will have failure modes unanticipated by the designers. If it has a safety angle, they do a recall, whether it's a BMW, Chevy, Yamaha, or Kawasaki. It doesn't mean very much about the quality of the vehicle, one way or the other.

Took one for a ride on the weekend....I have to say I was overall pretty damn impressed....smooth, good stock suspension pointed it and there it went and give it a big hand full and it surprised me I can tell you it went quite hard. Over all nice bike a bit tacky here and there but not bad at all! If you get the opportunity do it after all as the Kawka guy said..."I'd be interested in what you think as you are the expert on this type of bike" and he was being quite genuine....
