Connecting into brake light

After recently purchasing a GIVI tail trunk with brake light, I now have the trunk wiring completed (I think) but still have to connect into the bike's brake light system (FJR 2010). Has anyone done this modification and is there a best place to connect (splice) into the system?

I believe that I've only two wires to work with and one (hot) seemingly should be connected to the blue (?) taillight (brake light) wiring and the other into the ground (black).

Look at the last image in this article... don't think the wire colors have changed over the years, but someone will come along and point it out, if they have....

With my 2010, the ABS is connected into the system as well. Should that make a difference?

So you are suggesting that I'm looking for a yellow/green wire (rather than a solid yellow) to connect the GIVI brake light into?

With my 2010, the ABS is connected into the system as well. Should that make a difference?

ABS has nothing to do with the brake light. They light up with the lever or the pedal, that's it.

That's the colors mine were
