Heck of a deal if you're in the market for some Continental Motion Sport Touring Tires. During their Spring Sale, a set, with free shipping, is $148.60 before taxes. Best pricing I've seen yet! I've dealt with these folks before and they're top notch in Customer Service.

holy moly! That's a great price! I wish that I had that money right this moment to get a set.

Wow! That IS a great deal. I'm going to buy a set. Thanks for the heads up.

You can get Bridgestone 023s for $215.47 a set too. Not a bad deal there.

Ok, so how did you get free shipping? I am not seeing that. And at $21 for shipping these lose their appeal........

I stand corrected.. :blushing: .The free shipping is on SOME items, but not on these. They charge UPS according to distance so my cost would be $15 for shipping, which is still a good deal.

I just bought a set of those. They cost me $229 mounted and balanced( I carried the wheels in). Took them home and installed on my 07. I was excited to go for a ride because I new they would be an improvement over the metzs that were on when I bought it. So i get going down the street and I notice my bars are shaking side to side. Im thinking this cant be real. So I take the bike in to moto tire where I got the tires and the owner says oh its just out of balance! Im sayin to myself I dont think so, but I let them rebalance it and the owner takes it for a ride. He comes back and says you have a defective tire. Bottom line they did the labor for free to replace it with a PR2. I had to pay the difference of about $70. BTW I am not telling anyone not to bye the conti motions. I have them on my gl1800 and am very happy with them. But for me I think I will stick with the michelins from now on. Cheers.

I had the same experience years ago with a new set of Dunlop 205s on my ST1100. Went into a weave at about 55 to 75 then smoothed out above that. Changed them out and put on a set of Bridgestones IIRC, which fixed the problem. I just scrubbed in my new Contis yesterday and the turn in is absolutely effortless. Yes... I'm suffering from NTS (new tire syndrome) but these babies handle great! I'm decided, instead of paying the extra $100+ for the PR2, (which I've had good results with), I'll try a couple of sets of Contis which should get me pretty close to the same mileage. Time will tell.

Update- Did a couple hundred miles of 2 up riding today to see how the Contis handled and was totally amazed. If anything, the turn in is almost too quick compared to the PR2s that I've had on for the past 40K miles. It definitely takes a little getting used to as I found that a few of my first turns I had to do almost a double apex as they are so effortless to turn in and for me almost exhibited a bit of over steer. Once I got used to that, it was pure smoothness for the rest of the day as they ride, turn in, hold their line just fine and standing the bike up with the throttle exhibits no twitchiness or tendencies to change lines. One set of new tar snakes showed me that they don't like them, but then on another road, an older section of them, the bike did not move around at all. Commenting on the bar shake, with a loose grip during decels around 45, my PR2s seemed to do that even when new and got worse as they wore on. These Contis with only about 300 miles show no sign of bar shake such as that so far. Hwy 49 loved them as they stuck like glue and inspired confidence at every turn. Skooter is right, these are really good tires for the money, now if they'll just last a round trip to NAFO, I'll be a happy camper.

I tried two sets of these...my first and last. Extemely disapinted in the mileage.....WAY less than half what I'm used to with PR2's or Road Smarts.Rear was toast at 2561 miles. Avg PR2 rear is about 7K. Bottom line cost per mile is no better than than PR2's plus half the time spent mounting and balancing.

Yep, I coulda told you that. But they sure are fun when they are on! They are worth it to me because I still get 8k out of a rear, and 12k out of a front.

I've just shagged a complete set of the Contis. The front has lasted 2 rears. & I got somewhere in the neighborhood of 7000 on each rear. The front tire? I really should've changed it out before my last trip. I've experienced severe head shake for a couple of thousand miles. I just couldn't afford to change it... so, it stayed.

I will be using these tires again & hoping for a better front than what I have now. For me, they've been the best value (mileage vs handling). My experience with a rear PR2 tire was about 8,500 miles.
