Thank you, Dave! I have been posting to both Global Rider Alex and Stef on the Ride Planning - Europe section of our wonderful website here regarding Corsica. I plan to ride Corsica and Sardinia in May of 2009 and I am looking for info.

Over at Southwest on the forum I responded to your post on our AZ FJR Forum New Years Day Ride and coincidentally I was discussing the Corsica-Sardinia ride with SkooterG and Lady Jane. They may fly into Florence and ride along with me.

You and Alex both have outstanding videos of Corsica. However, do you have any links to riding on Sardinia? Yours, Don S

Awsome video. How did you get the bikes over there, by ferry?

Hi

We took several days to ride through France (spent 2 days in the Vercors to the SW of Grenoble) then caught an overnight ferry from Toulon to Bastia. Cost about €260 for bike, rider & pillion and a cabin for the return journey.

I've not been to Sardinia so can't offer any advice there, but the one thing I would say about Corsica is that the pace is quiet slow as you spend a lot of time in Cafes, swimming in mountain streams etc. We spent six nights in Porto Vecchio and did not see half of what we wanted. If you were traveling through the Island staying one or two nights at each hotel that would not be so much of a problem but with a group of 15 that would have been difficult for us to arrange. So we'll have to go back there again in a few years. Looks like Norway in 2009.
