So, everyone has come across a cow or two in the road while riding. I came across a couple of cows in the road yesterday and shot a lil video of them

I posted it ONE time. I cant control what happens after I click on the word "post" ONE time. Why the heck would anyone post the same thing 12 times??

That's the most cows you've ever seen on a roadway? Dang...You live a sheltered life. Glad to hear someone was cognizant of the ****. That stuff can cause a spectacular crash!

It's never intentional. it's a function of a slow response and hitting POST/SAVE again instead of REFRESH.

But with 274 posts to your account, you've been here long enough to know that so don't take it like it was an attack.

Just curious ... how can it be legal to drive a herd of cattle down the public highway? Were you actually riding in the US?

Since when did those cows or that rancher pay gas taxes to maintain the highway, and are they registered with the local DMV?

Fookin things don't have headlights or turn signals .... and probably high in fat and cholesterol. Dangerous, I tell you.

I wonder if the farmer is liable for the motorcyclist who crashes on cow dung left on the roadway ?
On TX FM (Farm to Market) roads, the driver is liable not only for the lost value of the livestock but also all lost income that could have been seen from it's full lifetime.

Keep your head on a swivel on FM roads in TX. It can get costly in a hurry.

In a lot of countries they are still "open range". Even in "closed range" counties "willful intent" has to be proven to put the farmer/rancher at fault for livestock that get out onto the road.

Looks like oregon, usually a hoard of flies filling the air in the summer.
Oregon it was. We had to ride those "horrible" roads around Fossil, Service Creek, Spray and then up to Ruggs. The T30 EVO's performed VERY well. My favorite front tire to date on the FJR.

A normal part of riding here in Montana as well. We are a Free Range state too. You hit it, you pay for it.... but you don't get to keep it. A couple hit and killed four buffalo in front of our place. Cost them $10,000.
