About to begin my 3rd year with the FJR, last year I paid $670 for a year's full coverage with Dairyland/Sentry. (My 1st year was with Progressive, but when I moved from TN to TX, they freaked out so I switched.)

This week, I got a renewal letter from Dairyland, with the premium going up to $718! I was hoping it would go down for a 2nd year premium, I've had no claims, tickets, etc. Anyone else have this happen to them with Dairyland? Is this a Texas thing?

My GEICO premium is about half that for full, 100/300 coverage, including uninsured/under insured with a $250 deductible.

Shop around and get some other quotes. When I priced Dairyland they made it very clear they didn't want me as a customer: $1290/yr. I pay around $325 with Progressive.

My Dairyland premiums have continued to go down since I got my 2003 (in 10/2002). What started as $550 a year for max coverage and a $250 dedictible has now dropped to $275 a year for the same coverage.

A lot of has to do with your age, your address of record, your driving record, and your claims record.

That's about what I'm at also with Dairyland up here in MN. I was impressed with the rate. I thought it would be higher for sure. I'm happy.

I got a quote from Progressive. Sacramento, CA area over 2k per year. About twice what I'm paying now... AAA, not interested. Allstate, my main carrier, not interested..shopped me to a broker. Problem is, it is hard to get H/O insurance in this state. So you can't just go with anybody, you may find yourself without H/O insurance. I know it will be cheaper when I go "home" to Idaho!!

Can't wait to get out of this state....
