Feejer is good. My first bike was a Honda Shadow 750. After a while, I decided I wanted to move to a different type of bike. Tried out an ST and an FJR, later a C14, among other bikes. I liked the FJR sooooo much, I went ahead and wrecked my Shadow so I could go out and get and FJR.

Well, laugh if you want, but it worked.

Yes the FJR is an amazing bike and I to open the garage door just to look at her and knowing in the morning I will mount and ride her to work. I have over 8k on her now since Jun and even though it is nearing Dec I still plan to ride as long as the roads are dry. I have been riding since 77 and no bike makes me feel like my FJR...

Just wondering if anybody else feels this way about their FJR?
Yes. I fully acknowledge that the FJR is too big of a bike for me, but it doesn't stop me riding it. I have a little Ninja for commuting. The last few weekends have been spent in the company of an even smaller dirt bike. My poor FJR has been lonely, in the garage. Today, it got ridden and I remembered how much I love the raw power that this bike offers, while I'm seated in utter comfort. It's the best all around bike that I've ever owned and I love it.

Maybe the FJR is too good because it keeps ruining my thoughts for a second bike! If it's not wind protection, then it's carrying capacity, and if it's not that then it's the motor, and if it's not that then it's the ergonomics, etc, etc. The bike has so many strong points that it makes it hard to justify getting a second bike.

Also, I had my first ride in the rain the other day while splitting lanes through 20 miles of stop-and-go traffic. With its weight and ABS, the FJR was absolutely confidence inspiring. Where every other bike I've ridden in the same conditions would make me nervous, the FJR was rock solid.

Wow!

Raven,

I agree 100% on what you said except the 2nd bike, I have thought of getting another bike and what I was think of getting is another FJR! I will wait untill they make some worth while changes and have the right color then get another. Sure is one Sweet Machine! I have been gone since Tuesday which is also the last day I rode her and I can not wait till I get back home so we can be one once again...

Me too!

The Black Cherry has been sitting idle for a couple of weeks....cold weather (yes, I'm a wuss, and don't have any winter gear), and rain (again wuss) and busy schedules. But it was warm in NW Atlanta today and I got it out for a couple of hours.....I think I enjoy it more and more with the accumulating miles. The shifts get better and better, as do the lines and leans. Plus the mods* are adding up now and every one makes me enjoy the bike more.

It is truly an awesome machine.

I noticed today I've developed the dreaded cupping on the rear tire at about 5750 miles. I got it on the front around 3500....both OEM B020s. Yuck. Can't wait for the PR2s!

*as in cheap mods - BJM, windscreen autoretract disconnect, grip puppies, G2 ergo, TRS unwind, suspension adjust, man horns!

This bike, and this forum ROCK :yahoo: :yahoo:   :yahoo: :yahoo:

I admit to kissing mine lovingly on the tank while fondling its hindquarters, but only after a good ride, heck I didn't want anyone to think I was just a perv.
After I bought it and rode home I parked it in the driveway, pulled up a lawn chair and just stared at it while drinking two cold ones.

The next day when I hit the fast rural corners I fell in love and I just cant' help myself.

What an amazing machine.

Your killing me...

Too funny...

Farging winter. 20 degrees outside, snow on the ground, ice and sand on the streets and highways, the bike is lonsome and I am waiting for a day over 50 with dry streets and no snow or ice in front of my garage. I HATE WINTER. The bike is still the best bike I have ever owned, the only one that came close for me is my old FJ1200

Well if I can get around all the puddles in my driveway i hope to get her out on Sunday. Been going through withdrawals for a couple of weeks now. Its been raining for the last 4 days.

I think Fred will have to put a set of ice skates or ski's to get out on the FJR this weekend.

Hmmm I think that is the stuff we get right before it turns to glare ice when it hits the street. Also right before it turns to snow.

Sunny all day today, up to 50 degrees, going for fried pies and coffee an hour away from here through the twisty mountain roads of Tennessee and Georgia. Doesn't get any better.... :yahoo:

I have been itching to get out there, I was going to go yesterday but just to cold and I to have puddles outside my garage. I have chipped them away and hope to go today, I have my longjohns on and just want to go out even for a short one. Tomorrow will be in the upper 40's but they say rain and wind. Come on springtime!!!!
