Mucho nice. Somebody's been playing in the pearls.

Damn, I've got to take some time off and paint mine. Me do love the red.

No bad from using a case of rattlecans eh?

Well, you shouldn't have any trouble finding it in the parking lot at the next meet.
Well, it will tentatively shuttle me up to Americade on the Wednesday. I gotta meet Mr Baker (of Baker Air Wings fame) as well as check out the show... I plan to be wearing one of those FJRForum tees.

The color is a variant of SEM Shovelhead Red. I first sprayed extra coarse silver metallic base on the tupperware, then applied the SEM red mixed with clear and then a clear topcoat. The photos really don't do it justice.

The SEM red toner (it's like a dye) has to be mixed with a clear binder. It had too much pearl in it for my liking so I let the pearl settle out first and then added a very small bit of it back in when I mixed the red toner with the clear.

Damn, there goes my secret recipe...

Now to get back to racks and brackets. My welder is calling me.... ;)

U probably want $150.00 to paint my bike.. Can I have the same color???, on second thought I want Yellow & Black. Great job! Don't scratch it!!

Lucky

Not all colors look good on certain things, but that sure does. Good choice, good job!

I'm already considering what my new color will be, soon as it gets scratched up some more.

Talk to RogDeb. They did something similar. Beautiful!

Lot of work there!! And the results show it :)

F*ckin' sweet, G!

It is about time someone took the color to the next level. Great job, would love to see it in person - I bet it pops!

Looks very nice. I'll probably be looking at fresh paint next year and some sort of red is top on my list. You gonna open up shop on paint jobs? I assume that just about anything would be more scratch resistant than the stock Yamaha paint.

Gary, that is absolutely beautiful !!

Great Job !!

And you can't even tell you used a brush and roller...... :p

So - you can now do ride-in's, correct?

Ride in, park, 90 minutes later ride out a brandy new color !!
