Where can I find some info on the upcoming races? I usually check out www.superbikeplanet.com but the info has been a little sparse.

AMA and the factories have screwed the classes up so much that almost everyone has lost interest.Heh, so apparently the superbike race has already happened. I wonder if they even intend for people to show up for the races or if they've just given up on that.
Also, I think the 848's going to be a bit of an overdog in SS. I mean, it has a 42% displacement advantage and now that there's a team or two using them I wouldn't be surprised if they win every race.
I think they're pretty close in WSB (20% more), and the way WSS was (25% more) when they were racing the 748. WSB allowed Ducati 33% in the 998 days and that was too much. But 42%? Effing ridiculous. At least it's not the almost 100% the Buell had.Long gone are the days of racing like CC bikes. Have to make adjustements for larger cc bikes that cant hang with the little 600s.
'Twas always thus (w/AMA): in the 50's & 60's, Triumph and BSA 500cc 'pushrod' twins competed directly with H-D 750cc flat-head twins (50% advantage).I think they're pretty close in WSB (20% more), and the way WSS was (25% more) when they were racing the 748. All new(er) Ducatis feature desmodromic valve control -- the air-cooled 2-valve and the liquid-cooled, testastretta (848), DOHC 4-valve.Is the duc a desmo valver?
I don't think Ducati's sold a valve spring since the '50s... if even then.Is the duc a desmo valver?
