First time to the 500 and first time to a tailgate party. OK, so I don't get out much. Anyway, was up and on the road by 6AM and by 8AM, the party was in full force (Odot, you'd be proud). Since Bobby Labonte was struggling, we left a little early to beat the crowd and was amazed to see so many bikes parked along the parking lot backing up to turns 3 & 4. I told my wife there should be an fjr in the crowd and as soon as I said it, there it was. Now, who's is this one: Forgot to look at the license plate for a state.

Nice back rest.

Dang git-r-dan! Daytona! I'm so jealous!! :D

Looks like this year will be the first in quite a while that I won't be going to the April race here in Texas. So I started thinking about riding the FJR out there and tailgaiting with whoever will have me. Could be fun!

Hey Chick!

Come east and enjoy bike week! Dan has some draconian idea of working through bike week. love to see ya. PM if youre coming.

:( Brad, if Yvonne survives the next round of cuts, looks like I'm riding the bike back out there for my birthday which falls right before Easter weekend. Looks like a possible Easter Sunday ride. I just got to get my visits to line up with your bike weeks.

Ms. Chick, the community of Daytona Beach does it right. Lot's of cool people helping the tailgate go smoothly handing out free ice, promo drinks, etc. I'm sure Mr. Pickax will also extend his gracious hospitalities as usual. To get a decent view, call the track directly and call asap. The battle for good seats starts for next year's event right after the race ends.

Bobby Labonte and Mark Martin. Sure wanted the old dude to win there at the end. Our seats weren't too bad looking right at pit row's finish line.
