One of the biggest non-events in racing in the US is the annual Daytona Tire Testing sessions. Last week, the major Dunlop riders took to the track to beat up on tires that can only be used at that track. Makes no sense, really, but, it is what it is. Essentially, it's the first opportunity to break out the new rides. In some cases, new bikes are fully developed and in other cases, such as the new CBR1000RR, it's not much more than a lightly modified street bike. The lap times and top speeds traditionally don't provide much insight as to what to expect in the upcoming year. This year may be an anomoly as the top 3 superbikes are Spies, Mladin, and EBoz.

Rumor has it that the superbike EBoz was on was rumored to be a Belgarda world superbike. After Eboz was done testing it, he handed it off to Jason DiSalvo for testing. That's the big lead in for this story.

Maybe they'll come up with a tire that can handle more of the oval. It used to be cool when they would exit the infield and do Nascar turns 1 + 2. :clapping: Currently they only do Nascar 3+4. <_<

The moral of the story is that DiSalvo sucks.

We all know Hacking should've had that seat last season and half the grid could've done a better job

'sucks' is a relative term. better than 99.9% of the riding population and a good percentage (more than half) of the riders on the AMA grids. that being said, Yamaha gambled (giving DiSalvo the ride and not giving Hacker what he wanted) and lost.

I'm not convinced that he is in the top half of talent on an AMA grid. He's always had money and equipment and now that the playing field is level he doesn't look that great.

Are you talking the entire grid or just the factory supported riders?
