Dealer said no more ECU upgrades available from Yamaha!

I called North Hollywood Yamaha today to see about getting my recalls ordered. They have the ground wires in stock and the ignition switch, but not the ECU. He called Yamaha and they told him they are no longer honoring the ECU upgrade on my 07! He gave me the customer service number and I will call, but I don't have high hopes! Any advice? :glare:

Try another dealer, I called those guys last week about a replacement key and they weren't very helpful.

Temecula Motorsports completed my ECU recall about one month ago.

I would call another dealer.

If it's a recall that hasn't been done, they have to do it. Period.

The ECU may be a scarce piece, though, what with Japan's troubles from the earthquake.

I went to see about the ECU update on my bike a couple of months ago and they (Katy Yamaha) didn't give me any grief about it, although a couple of weeks after going in there I called to check on the part and they said it was backordered until September!

So I'll check back with them in Spetemeber. Thankfully, this isn't a pressing issue for me here in the Bayou city.

That is BS. Had all of my recall work done yesterday - except for the ECU. ECU's are on backorder and I was informed that mine will be replaced once it is received. Your dealer is jacking ya....
