Thanks Tyler. I think DC should give tours of Titus canyon to our eastern visitors

I think they'd probably never speak to me again if I did. ;)

Would anyone be interested in having a docent-led tour at the Lone Pine Movie Museum on Monday?
We will likely be headed south from Amargosa Valley so we will have to miss this. It is probably a wonderful tour. Many, many, many classic westerns, and a surprising number of non-westerns were filmed around Lone Pine and the Alabama Hills (IMDB lists 355 titles). Just this morning I was watching an old black and white television Lone Ranger episode and laughing at the film editing which cut back and forth from Lone Pine (and environs) to the sound stage to Corriganville (Chatsworth, CA) all as part of the same scene.

On another note, here is the SPOT link. We will be heading out of SoCal sometime on Friday (TBD):

Don't worry about being the FNG as long as you buy the beer you will be the most popular guy.

I made a run to the store today for "provisions". This is all I can fit into a V46:

I've been going through an IPA phase for a few years now, so no fizzy yellow light beer for me. But if anyone likes the hoppy stuff, I'm happy to share. I just have to find the ice machine as soon as I arrive.

I'll be leaving around 9am. See ya in Tehachapi.

The pizza place we're going to tonight will have some nice choices as well so you can save your haul for when we get to Longstreet. B)

Yup.. hitting the road in about a half hour... actually set my alarm for 4:30 but woke up on my own at 4am... yawn! We'll take you with us in spirit!

I I like the way Morecowbell packs. I'm pulling the bushtec trailer so I doubt we will be thirsty. Just waiting for it to get above35 before we hit the road in Nevada

We will miss you George.

I thought you were trailering down to DV Doug? Awful nice of Gayle to sit on the back of the Wingabago again!

Ahh, a fellow hop-head. Firestone Double Jack, Avery Maharajah and El Segundo Power Plant are the current (no pun intended) residents of the fridge.

I am not bringing beer on this trip but I will have some red wine, Scotch whisky (sort of), Irish whiskey, and bourbon (sort of) to share with all.
