Caliente / Bodfish is a back road delight.

Bug Buddy, don't forget when heading back northwest that Hwy 155 out of Lake Isabella has a great set of twisties in and of it's own. If you've not ridden that, put that on your dance card while in the area.

Thanks John, I rode it a couple years ago in December. Packed down snow for many miles but thanks to Kern Co. Rd. dept it was heavily sanded. I made it but very, very slow going. Really don't want to ride it again in the winter.

It appears that the Chevron station in DV at Furnace Creek is permanently closed. While it was the most expensive gas I can ever remember purchasing, it was convenient since it was the only one around!

Tyler, called the Longstreet this morning and reserved a room for Saturday and Sunday. The lady told me it was the last room. We have heard that before haven't we?

I will be leaving my home in Bermuda Dunes early Saturday morning and will join your route at the intersection of the 14 and 395. Hope to join some of the stragglers for the trip thru DV on the way to the Longstreet. Put me down for the Sunday night dinner. I will be riding my Wee Strom.

Can't wait the see everybody.

It is February! Valerie and I are booked at the Longstreet Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. Sunday is "iffy" because we do not yet know if Valerie can take Monday off from work. If she can, we will be two more for the dinner. I will let you know, here, Tyler as soon as I know.

Yup... looks like the weather gods are working in our favor (*knocks on wood, turns around three times, throws salt over shoulder*)... last weekend there was snow and ice in Tehachapi but it appears there is a warming trend... thank you, Ma Nature!!

Not last time.... they were real pissy about parking motobikes anywhere but on the assphalt.

Just call me Dougie downer but after 30 years of working outdoors I learned a long time ago never trust any winter forecast more than 3 days out. Looks like I'll be needing the rain gear for the ride to Tehachapi. Plenty of time for that to change for the better....I hope.
