I think it's fake too. There is no way the guy in the red shirt wouldn't have locked up his brakes when he saw it. His tail lights didn't even flash. I guess we'll never know....

You're assuming he even saw it -

That deer was in front of him for maybe 250 to 300 milliseconds - that's about the duration of a blink. Or he could have been looking at his speedo - or taking a nap. Ya never know.

Or maybe his brain said "oh crap!, I shoulda hit the brakes there - ........"

I was thinking the same thing, but if you look close you will see him look left after it crosses his lane, I think it was to late too react by the time he saw it.

Looked real to me. If he didn't pick up the deer in his peripheral vision the actual time the deer was in/over the roadway was incredibly short. They are very fast...when they want to be. I'm hoping the Soltek's will light up the roadways and the shoulders well enough and far enough that one can spot them off to the side AND slow down in time. I wonder if they show up on infrared night vision goggles?

FYI...bear are fast also. Once saw one run across I-80 at Donner's summit across some very rough terrain. Amazingly fast! All I could do was watch him with my jaw hanging down in dis-belief. He wasn't a near miss, just close enough to be impressive.
