Since I can't leave my employees unattended for 2 weeks during the height of my season while I go to NAFO, I've been kicking around the idea of flying into Denver and renting a bike there so I can eliminate the 3 day out 3 day back ride. I found THIS PLACE, Advo Motorcycle Rentals. Anybody have any experience with them or know of any other reliable rental firms?

I think I'll rent the red one that they have in the picture?

Just call them before you pick a bike.

I bet they don't have FJRs. Looks like an international company. Many of the choices are probably only offered abroad.

I'm sure you will find pleny of places to rent a H-D. Very hard to rent a sport bike in the US.

Ask FJRChik about flying in and riding... She's the leading expert. :p

I promise, we will not discriminate for parking! :yahoo: Fly in a rent the Beemer....its about riding the roads and the people you'll meet at the event.

Hey Axeman,

I was thinking the same thing. I am looking at about the same mileage/time as you from here on the coast of Virginia, out to Denver (~1387 miles) The Better Half wants to take the girls out to CO and see thier Aunt Peggy and Uncle Ralph, so I might half to fly out with them. :glare: Though, I am angling on the "I could save the air fair by riding out and meeting you and the girls -- Honey!" But, say a K1200GT or 1150RT or 1200RT might be a hoot for three days too! If I do that, I'll bring a photo of my FJR and a copy of the title, just to prove I am and owner, eh! ;)

Hoping to attend this year, but your note raised a great memory. Back--waaaay back--when I was stationed in Denver in the AF, a bunch of us rented little 150's (or so) at a place just outside the Lackland AFB gate. Nobody had any riding experience. Or licenses. Or helmets. We just rented them and took off. Ah, the good old, unregulated days. The best memory is old Bob Beaulieu running down the street after taking off too fast at a light into an unexpected wheelie, holding onto the handlebars while his bike ran ahead of him on its back wheel. He couldn't let go, couldn't throttle down. God knows how, but he caught up to it and got back on without crashing. The only ones who fell down were all the rest of us, laughing.

I saw a place not long ago that rented the venerable Connie 1400. Here it is! Only 940 miles from NAFO. Just enough of a ride to get accustomed to it!
