So far I have 5 hardy volunteers, a few more couldn't hurt!

We will not have a security guard as we did at the Reno Hilton. That means WE have to keep an eye on our "steeds". I realize that Park City will be different in attitude and that we will be a bit more isolated and not in the public view like the "porche" last year where gamblers and visitors would wander by. BUT, the parking garage we will be using is shared by a few other businesses, so it's not private.

If we get enough people willing to roust themselves and take a look a couple times a night, we should be "GOLDEN". In the past, there have been enough owners hanging around the parking area comparing notes and BSing..er..uhm, discussing their bikes and farkles that all should be "cool" then.

If you can or will volunteer, please PM me or post here. Once I have a list, we can work out the details at Park City.

Thank you for your support.

I'm happy to be of service.

I told you 6 months ago that I would help. Can I bring my own badge and gun??? :)

i'm short on funds to make it to wfo this year, butt if you take up a paypal donation, i'd repay it by doing bike security...

I am willing to take a turn around the garage between rounds at the bar. I'll practice my sneer in case I meet any miscreants.

I'm willing to do a stint, as long as I can sit in a chair and drink a beer while I'm doing it. Can't bring a gun since I don't own one, being a good Canadian and all. Besides, according to the Geneva Convention I can only carry one for self-protection, nothing in it about being allowed to use it to protect other people's FJRs.

I added a couple of items to the list/outline just now, when I added the names of the "new/old" volunteers.

Mike,

This sounds just like "fire watch" in Army basic training (beautiful Ft Polk, LA) where someone had to be up at all times, usually 1 or 2 hour shifts. I'm sure this would be more fun, however, cuz you could drink beer and talk bikes, and make farkle notes during the shift. Some one will still be up, or getting up.

Well....since my bunkie geezer is in, put me down too. besides, I have experience from Army training. :assassin:

We can discuss details once we're in Park City. I'll post a meeting place and time on the board in the registration area, or you can come and fine me in the garage area. I'm usually fairly visible....

Like you, I figure that a lot of people will be up late and others will be rising and leaving early for the longer day-rides. I'd like everyone to rest secure in the knowledge that someone is keeping an eye on the bikes.

Than again, we'd like ot have witnesses if anyone happens to tip their bike over in the parking lot....its happened before!

Right Skooter?
