I lie about maintenance in case i ever want to sell my bike on this forum. I've really only changed the oil once

Actually I have cold beer in the garage, a nice stereo and my wife stays out of there. So, I consider my ongoing maintenance an entertainment expense....

You must be my long lost brother.....only my wife comes out into the garage and interrogates me bout this and that.

In addition to your mentioned amenities I have installed a flat screen and a recliner. My wife knocks before entering so I can either pick up a tool or something and look busy or stash the contraband.

Aw, separate lives and married....I am well on me way to that life style at the rate I'm going at.....

Not really separate lives, Odie. I have a great wife who supports my hobbies aka toy hoarding. I've had a no girls allowed space since my three daughters were in their teens ALL at the same time.

Chief....I wish you the best. Am glad you had your own corner to sit in whilst the fray happened aboot ya....

To Marked23:
I too have had problems getting the 'cap type' of filter wrench to fit tightly enough not to slip. What I did was use a piece of thin metal strapping about 15 mm wide and shaped it inside the cap wrench so that it aligned perfectly with the interior walls. The cap wrench now seems to work quite well.
It probably wouldn't have worked in your situation (the filter was on too tight) but may work for you in normal situations.
All the best.
