Cards are cheap. Buy a couple of extras?
Went down to Best Buy yesterday, a 512 Mb Memory Stick (Sandisk) was $20. Problem solved... can take 280+ pics at my max resolution... and still have the old one with another 170 or so capacity... :clapping: By the way, that's a killer price (even lower per byte than the higher memory cards, which isn't normally the case).
wow. great deal. i don't even wanna tell ya what i paid back in tha day for the same card...

Funny, cause I remember when having 512Kb of memory for your entire computer was a BIG DEAL... gotta love technology....

I'll also have my laptop.

Pay for wireless?!!!! That sucks. Guess I'll just have to find an open access point. I plan to post on here a couple times... just to rub it in to anyone who isn't there! :p

My (4) 1 gig CF cards were about $90 each a year ago. I shoot RAW images at about 8mbs, so with 4 cards, camera in hand, some booze, FJRs abound, good vibes, madmike2 (ha?) and a lot of action, that should fill up my cards in no time. Then download to my laptop, and then ready for more shots. SMILE :D :D :D

Awwwhhhh I here those familar words RAW images, something my D1X, D2X and D2H all eat alot of memory with, just think how many cards you would have to use with a Hasselblad H2 with a Digital Back!

By the way who will be taking the "Official" Professional photos of the event, please don't tell me its going to be a bunch of disposable cameras at the banquet table with ASA 100 film in it..lol Something to think about, to promote the future of WFO events.

I'll be bringing a laptop with a CD burner.

This is a question for our organizers, HMarc & Warchild, what are your plans? Anything offical, organized or just a free-for-all? I posted several of the main WFOs in the past on FJRowners.com. It was easy then, now we have to post to some other photo site or what ever it's called. Help me there (what's it called)?

Anyway, HMarc & Warchild, what do you have planned or are you looking for volunteers?

I plan on taking a lot of pictures on my ride up to Reno, and while there... anybody know if there will be access to a CD burner so I can download pics from my camera? I'd hate to run out of memory space while I'm there, and not have the ability to take pics for the remainder of the trip....
Joyfulgirl and I will have DVD burners in the house

Thanks Ov... I may take you up on it...

Bought a 512 Meg memory stick, which may last me... something close to 300 pics at max resolution on my little camera... Video however eats it up a lot faster!

We have 2 512 memory sticks, and it is enough for a day of riding. Each ride report I write, I have to wade through about 250+ shots...then I can wade some more and post something I never posted before

Joyfulgirl is quick with the shutter!

Our first attempt at a panorama...lessons learned

Thanks Jerry... I'll also have my portable USB memory stick, which I believe is another 512 Meg... hope the ride is worth that many pics!
