Mother Nature has ordained that Gravity rules. Mess with Gravity and you are messing with Mother Nature (an' she's a mean ole &^*(#$&%$ when you cross her.

That's why I always paddle the bike with my feet and the clutch pulled in in a 5 point u-turn. None of this "tight turn" stuff for me! NO WAY!lol.

Great story!
OK, I've had a couple a drinks...Here's my dipshit move...

Had been riding trials all day on the Montesa...

Came home and rinsed it off and took it to the barn.

Saw the Triumph street bike there in the barn, and took it for a quick spin. Came back home and gave it a wash and wipe down. Had a couple a beers and sat back, admiring what a beautiful bike it is...

Got ready to put it away, and started it up, stood on the pegs, (trials style) and was going to u-turn it around in the driveway....

Oops....

:)

edit...It must be something about washing yer bike.... :dntknw:
Triumph! Montesa! What was this, the 60's? :dntknw:

C'mon Bluesey, they still make Triumphs today, and Montesa's are still one of the cool bikes to ride in trials competition. They are still being made under the Montesa Honda name, AFAIK, just not being imported to the US.

And besides, that's the bike that our forum buddy George (cota95) is named for... although some might say that he is from the 60's ;)

Here's a neat history of the Montesa marque: Montesa History pdf

I love a good hijack....

The 60's were good!

The 50's weren't so bad either...

Here's a pic of an overfed hillbilly gittin the most out of a 54 Triumph Terrier....

I don't think it is possible to hijack a thread titled "Dip Sh*t Move...
It has been fun watching the responses - like a room full of kids with ADD - first it went to pros and cons of washing a bike

then ads for waterless washing, then somehow a disertation of trial and trial bikes form the 60's. And all were a welcome reprieve from my origonal post. :clapping:
