I got persuaded to take my daughter and one of her girl friends on a road trip to Disneyland. I need a suite close to disneyland because of her friend, 15 years old both of them. Plus tickets to the park for two days. Anyone with info? feb 15-18. Will be driving from the Bay area Mike in Fremont, Ca.

I have AAA/CSAA auto insurance and they can usually do something, even on short notice.

You might check with her school. If its a cheerleader function they might have something set up...even if its not a school function they may have a connection.

Bring lots of cash

There are lots of very inexpensive hotels near the maingate and some farther away. Use Expedia.com, Hotels.com and so on to research prices - you ought to be able to get a Days Inn efficiency for about $50 per day. Staying in a Disney hotel gives you a gead start to the day - while they copst more than staying off site you get early access to the parks.

NOTE: Saturday night can be a real bear - if you want to be there do NOPT leave the park. You might noit get back.

Tickets? Good luck. Walt doesn;t like to discount much - there are [packages available and you can locate discounts. Note that you can save money by buying single park tickets (as opposed to 'hopper' tickets that let you go from parlk to park. Multiday tiockets are cheaper than several single day tickets

Good luck

Good luck, thats President's weekend, and will be more crowded than normal. There has been a great deal of expansion in the Resort area, so there are a lot of hotels nearby, most with shuttles to the park. If it's within your budget, the Hyatt OC has family Disney suites. Be carefeul about getting too far away from the Resort area, as some of the hotels are less than desirable.

As far as deals on admissions tickets, this time of year is primarily targeted to local residents (which make up 85% of visitorship during the "off" season); that being said, get teh park hopper ticket that matches the number of days you'll be in the area. The tickets are expensive in and of themselves, but the cost is less per day than buying individual tickets.

If you are a CAA/AAA member, they do usually have the best package deals for members.

Thanks for the info guys. I noticed that just about anytime is a bear at Disneyland. I wouldn't go if my daughter didn't want to with her friend. But the time is well spent. Lucky anymore if I can get her to spend anytime with her old man. LOL

Mike,

Check out the following hotels, we have stayed at both of these with kids and they are nice and won't break the bank. Both are located minutes from most of the Disney Parks and Universal.

Buena Vista Suites

Caribe Royal

Good Luck and have Fun!
