Do these risers do the job?

Looking to help my wrists some. I moved the bars to their rearmost position, but up seems like it would be nice. Anyone use risers like this?

I am wondering about the install. Do I have to just remove the bolts on each arm, slide the riser in, and use the longer bolts? Enough space on the cables and hoses?

just check your cables, it doesn't take much slack,

I have an 05 and put two sets of bar backs on it and

it worked find.

I have these on my 08. No difference between the 08 and 09 on cable length. I'm happy with them. I figure the further I get from the sportbike slouch, the better. The cables will be fine but you must cut the stock wire cages as per the instructions.
