Would you sell your bike to an overseas enquiry?

Sometimes you just have too trust your instincts.
If the buyer is upfront, a deal is made and the funds are cleared so what's the problem??? None ....It's not rocket science folks?
Thug...you and I would deal that way...and would even do it for a US enquiry.

But I guess the folks on CL are a little 'gun shy'.....damned if I'd know why :trinibob:

Hi Steve, go back and re-read Radio Howie's Post #21: It just may be "your" Thug! You might have to ride over to Bairnsdale, Victoria from Perth and straighten out "that one" first. But, it may be like our very own Bustanut joker; an impossible project!

Back on thread: I'll not touch Craigs List with a 10 foot pole and I'm routinely searching for older BMW motorcycles. CL is risky!

now is that just bad luck, or is it related to Steve being a buyer living overseas ???
I think the answer is much more simple.

The forum's greatest exposure to Oz-ians has been through Thug.

Can you possibly imagine an Australian-based FJR community who has only an inkling of Americans from Bustanut postings?

Any more questions?

:assassin: :blum:

We  you, Thug!
hmmm.I haven't seen "Thug" on the Aussie forum yet....and his membership has to be approved by me first.

My only experience with Aussies was in 1968 in Cholon (near Saigon) and from my recollection they were never sober. then again, neither was I at the time. I would have sold them a bike gladly, but I don't know how I'd feel about sober Aussies.

Steve,

I'm in Iowa, will help if I can. Ian

Yanks are a bit funny like that, there happy and willing to get you into their wars but try and buy a motorbike off them!
Yeah (Aussie accent, I'm in Port Douglas at the moment), esp. in 1916 and 1941.

That Aussie is just jacking with us. I gave him a good deal and he whined that the milage was too high. I guess at 16000 these FJRs are just unreliable. Even with three plus years of YES left on it. Don't believe he really want's one.

16,000 is barely broken in!!!

Steve, years ago I worked with the guys in your Navy and airforce when they were buying helicopters from us. What do you need I will help. PM me and I will send you my email. :clapping:

Well...tell us how you really feel.
You perception of people's attitude is awesome...to be able to ascertain that I "whined" about the mileage. <_<

NO...I think what you were offering was fair...it just didn't meet our criteria.

You believe what you like.
