Does riding make you go bald?

I had a full head of hair before I started riding, Lately it seems to be thinning. I've seen picks of Warchild and it seems pretty obvious he has been riding for a while

Is it just me, or is this happening across the board? Is it the helmet? or riding in general?

Been slick & clean for 15 years now.....just shave all the way around the noggin....but I guess that doesn't answer your question.....so.....if you can take a look at your mother's parents....is grandpa bald? ....if so you have your answer...if not...rogaine :blink: :lol: ....

My hairline started it's slow trip to the back of my head when I was in high school. I think it had more to do with females than gasoline.

And also look at your uncle on the maternal side.......if he's bald, you're very likely to be the same.

My dad and his dad both sported the typical italian 'toilet seat head' (view head from the top, looks like a toilet seat). I followed in their footsteps. Guys on my mom's side of the family all had a full head of hair.

I started to recede in my mid 20s. 6 years ago, I decided to beat mother nature to the punch and have been shaving it clean ever since.

Lots of bald riders on here, so, maybe you're on to something.

Hey, I can't read that...

Everyone on my mom's side has a full head of hair well into their 70s, yet I'm losing mine up front. I've maintained for years that it's from the helmet - I don't think there's any question.

That's been more years ago than I care to remember.

As a female, I would be having heart failure if I was going bald from riding. I like my red hair!! I do ride with a full face helmet & so far no hair loss - but the styling sometimes sucks.
