My wife was raised by the head of driver training for L.A. city schools. He had a slightly negative view of motorcycling. I bought the FJR about a year after he died.

First she called it the murdercycle. The she switched to donorcycle.

THEN she had her regular appointment with her mental health care specialist (who secretly rides). She told him about how disappointed she was that I didn't discuss the FJR purchase with her. He pointed out that 48 year old men typically have extramarital affairs instead of riding motorcycles and she should be happy about my new found passion - the FJR. I love this guy's attitude ;)

Now she just calls it either the vroom-vroom or the seperator (as I'm always gone off riding somewhere and cannot be nagged at via cell phone) :D

Anyone else's SO have a special name for their FJR?

My wife named it Blue Belle. She got to name it because she bought it for me so her name is on the title. Heck...anytime she wants to buy me a kick ass bike and surprise me with it she can name it!!!!!!!

"THE TERMINATOR" When my wife and I get into an argument I say, hey, the weather looks great, think I'll go for a spin in the hills. Argument terminated. She accuses me of starting trouble just so I can go for a ride. Amazing how well my wife knows me after only 12 years of wedded bliss. Of course that's 12 years of bliss out of a 47 year marriage. But hey, bliss 25.5% of the time is a good thing considering another 30% of my time is spent sleeping. By the time you factor in time riding the "terminator," (also bliss) eating, (bliss if jalapenos are available and I have a gallon on hand at all times) visiting with friends, and other good things, my non-blissful time is a very small factor and life is good. PTL :yahoo:

My little woman named it "Trogdor-The Burninator"

as you will find here the reference, you have to watch the video....

its pee in the pants funny.... Trogdor

Bugnatr - The license plate on my 04. I own a Pest Control business in Kalifornia. After a long day in the saddle the FJR is better at killing bugs than I am. Seems to always get a laugh when people read it. At the Trogdoor site my 12 & 14 tear old boys started to sing along as they knew the Trogdoor song!
