Dollar stores have a $1 section of common meds that are small packets suitable for tank bags or first aid kit replacements without the trouble of buying the big containers and re-packaging. Aspirin, tylenol, advil, nausea, diarrhea, allergys, bandaids etc.. Good stuffs to have in the middle of nowhere or 0200 in a motel.

Good to know the dollar store sells stuff for a buck! In all seriousness, i wouldn't have thought to look there. Whether for the bike or just personal travel. Thanks for the info!

Thanks, James. Good info, but you can also check Target, and probably places like Walmart for this stuff. The dollar stores can be hit or miss, since they may get a deal on a boxcar full of something they can sell at their prices, but don't always have a steady supply coming in. They also carry some unknown brands that don't have the quality of national brands. If you try Target, look for the aisle with travel sizes of toiletries like shampoo, deodorant, etc. They're not a dollar, but pretty inexpensive and a good selection. They also sell small plastic squeeze containers there that are good for a few days' supply of things you have at home, like shampoo.
