I dunno O'vale... you wanting to be a police man? Do some crazy flames or sumpin'. The guy repairing my bike after the deer strike is supposed to be dog-nuts in the paint dept... I wanted to do something crazy, but that would take cash.

Honest opinion? A bit too busy.. IMHO of course. Perhaps if each white band was a bit narrower, more of an accent, not so bold?

Easy simplification yields this. The width of the stripe on the lower fairing is predicated by lines that go from there up through the tailpiece.

And the BMW that I liked the look of as inspiration

How about this. (excuse the bad art work)

nah, I don't like the nose white at all...that will be looking too cop like and a bit contrived on the FJR...here's a simpler and what I think is pretty cool due to the S.

This also takes the pearlescent off of the tail, which I liked, but this reduces cost by about $250-$300. Oh yes, part of the goal here is to paint the side of the tank so that my knee scuffs are repaired. ;)

The revision with less white stripes looks better to me.

The first one is a bit busy. You don't put a tank bra on that puppy do you? That would kinda ruin it...

After you see pics of mine in a few weeks, you might just go all white!!! :yahoo:

Anothee vote for too busy, but that's just me.

Next year I'll paint mine. And from 20 ft away it will look stock, but when you get closer you will see those almost transparent suttle flames they do in a thin metalic sliver or something like that. That's the plan at this point anyway. Could be different tomorrow.
