So, Cdog has been making cool wfo routes available and I've been playing with the new zumo 550.
Questions for all you Zumo egz-sperts..
1. When you open a route in mapsource, it has the option to 'Select maps around the route'.
? What does that really do? I notice that it creates indexes, calculates traffic patterns, etc.
?? Are the maps needed for the zumo to get you back on course should you stray?
2. Is it possible to download all 7 maps in one USB connected 'session'? I haven't been successful in doing all, serially, in one usb connection. If I try, only the last downloaded map appears on the Import screen after disconnecting the usb from the pc.
3. If the maps are saved along with the route, e.g. on one of the rides, two states are crossed. Selecting maps around the routes then apparently downloads the data for those two states.
? Does this decrease the number of routes you can then save to the Zumo?
4. I notice that all routes get saved to the zumo main memory.
? Is it possible to save routes to the added sdhc card?
Well, that's enough for now.
Learning is always not fun.
