I am gonna celebrate my 66th year this fall. And I am getting my 06 Feejer ready for yet another season. I enjoy my Feej, had a few days over 700 miles and have had about a dozen track days at two different tracks over the several years where I have ground off the peg feelers and chewed the Michileins into little rubber balls, I've gone through chicanes and scraped metal off the side stand. I have revelled in the sound of that big mill comfortably kicking out the high torque ponies at the redline and have shifted off the rev limiter like an ace. I love my Feejer but it is time for a new approach so Mamma Yamma if your listening here is my wish list.

I WANT:

a/ comfort-upright seating no more than 29.75" seat height, cruising handlebars

b/ 750cc >120HP, 130 top end I'll take the balance of my account in torque and overdrive thank you

c/ no more than 500 lbs wet sans detachable hard bags AND hard tail bag big enough for a full face helmut

d/ factory farkels LIKE HEATED GRIPS AND CRUISE CONTROL, stock tipover protectors etc. nothing cheesy like the present glove box lock

e/ preemo features like metal brake lines, top end suspenders that are fully adjustable, love the linked ABS

f/ love the electric window, minimalist cockpit and duel headlights

g/ as much sport handling as the concept will accept

e/ now as to pricing: I know it won't be cheap but it will commute, cruise, cafe race, solo trip, or play in the canyons and mountains and it will wear a lot of bragging rights

snap here (thread starter)

a/ OK, I'll take the 800cc

b/ the Triumph suggested above has a seat height into the stratosphere for most riders. That might make for handling fun and a great place to 'hang off', but Bunky, most of my riding is to breakfast on weekends, or to meet the guys at a coffee shop to swap stories of how great we were when we were 6'3" and weighed 190. Now I am 5'7" and probably 6'3" around. Moving the Feejer is an awkward chore in some parking and backing situations.

c/ I still have a scooter for most of the same reasons I got into bikes since "59" with a Sachs 125cc. I too like "nailing it" when I feel circumstances permit and I have found so far about 130mph is where I top out because of that LEO feeling. ergo...165 mph is not needed for my present riding needs, hence wasted.

d/ think FJR/GIXXER-750/bagger,,,,,, FJR cockpit, gixxer quick and handling, bagger seating and cargo ability.

Thanx to those that have replied and/or will reply and indulging my 'dream machine dream'...
