Wadaya, nuts or sumpin'?! Hell, he lives on an Estate, fer cryin' out loud! He's got serfs and wenches to do the laborious ****.
Hell, if ya got that much money just put in a small helipad, buy a chopper and fly your way in. :D

Hmm...from what I've seen, everyone can use help now and then. I don't mind being a peon once in awhile. I've only seen Highlander in Yosemite and he rides a cheapo Yamaha. A used one. If he was willing to ride with me and eat with me, then he's good enough to offer help to as well. So there :bleh:

Thanks Andrew PM sent.

If we need help I'll post up, but the rain needs to stop before we attempt any repair.

Love ya'll, your easing the pain ! :cownoy:

And all those high and mighty Kalifornians liken to makes fun of us Redneks here in Bama.  Least ways wes knows how (and where) to build sheet.
Look on the bright side.  You could be buried under the stuff at the bottom of the hill!

I know plant Junipers! They are great for erosion controll!

All kidding aside.. That sucks.  Is it a private drive or will the Road Dept fix it?
Hey, is that a hurricane in your pocket or is that tornado just happy to see you? :haha:

And, you all now live in wind-proof double-wides, eh? Impressive! :D
I'm sorry TWN you must have failed Geography. :bleh:

You have My beloved red neck state confused with New Orleans and/or Mississippi

Hows them quakes BTW?

Nope, not cornfused. You've just been in the root cellar during all the fun. ;) Haven't had a shaker in quite a while, now. Damn. I hate having to mix my martinis by hand...

A wheelbarrow and shovel ain't gonna make that go away! I hope your & the neighbor's houses are not being affected. Any hills above your house? Yikes!

Hey highlander, just a follow up- You still live on a hill?
Yep still standing ! :D

Things are moving slow, still afu on the road. Had geo guys, soil opinions, retaining wall experts, all take a look at it.

We applied for a Disaster Grant from the county /state, but it's a slow process. <_<

Don't worry, kids. Kalifornia will come in and redo the road....after they stand in line for several weeks to get their potatoes and toilet paper....then the real work can begin.

bali shag....any more questions? You can remit those to the undertaker. He's drunk. Take a number.

:wackosmiley: What??

The state will probably NOT do repairs on a private road. The county may mandate certain repairs for fire access, etc. (Part of the priviledge of NOT living in suburbia.). They may or may not "assist" with the work depending on interpretations of codes and budgetary constraints.

Hopefully the Disaster Grant will come through and ease some of the reconstruction costs.

Those who haven't seen the "Highlander Estate" or visited California have no idea that all of this state does not resemble "Ellay" or Metropolitan San Francisco any more than the City of Dallas=Texas or the T.V. series "Dallas" was a realisitic portrayal of life in that section of the country.

Mebbee ya'll orta come-on-out to Reno in Ju'-ly en git a chance tuh ryde summa the hills in buhtwean Kaliforny en Nevady. Mebbee, jist mebbee, ya'll kud sea summa thuh reel peeples en countryside 'stedda whut yew think in yer brain.

Yep, I'd do so without prompting, but Mr. Warchild-Sir has other plans for me. Check the CA rides section for our latest adventure. We'll be doing an "Open Passes" next month (An easy day ride from Reno). I have been talking to a number of the local NorCal riders about that very subject. I know that a few have already posted under the WFO heading that they are willing to lead informal rides from Reno. Exskibum, Skyway, Bluestreek and others are well qualified and know the roads.....and where the Leos like to do their "revenoo-in'".
